Need help connecting Crystal Reports 2008 to Salesforce.com with new certificates signed with the SHA-256 hash algorithm

Our instance of Salesforce.com just got upgraded to the new certificates signed with the SHA-256 hash algorithm late last week. I have been using Crystal 2008 for years with no problems connecting to Salesforce.com. Is there a way to get it to work now with the new certificate? Is so please walk me through the process. If not, would upgrading to Crystal Reports 2013 solve my problem. I am an accidental techie with a small educational non-profit and need some help getting things to work. Thank you!
