Master data locking issue

Hi all,

I have gone through the following discussions

Here employees are having the provision only for display of their records. cannot edit/add any of their data. But still if employee open their personal information, PA30 is getting locked. Is there any solution to avoid this. Instead of accessing PA30, can't the ESS take data from PA20.

Is there any SAP notes regarding this issue.
