Use of system alias in SAP Fiori ?

Hi Experts,

Can some one give me a clear idea of WHY do we use system alias, Trusted RFC connection in Implementation of any SAP Fiori applications ?

Please somebody give me a clear Idea.. If any documents are there please share...
