Variables for Common Agreement in Contract Generation

Hi

We have a few custom fields (i.e. extension fields) that are both on MA and AGR. Is there a way that we can specify a contract generation variable with source "Common Agreement" for these custom fields?

We have a template for contract generation that would be basically the same for MA and AGR. It should just read the field from the AGR in case it is generating the document for an AGR and use the MA field value when it is generating the document for an MA.

Some standard fields that appear in both documents are available when choosing source "Common Agreement" in the variable and then it works as we want it but unfortunately no custom fields are there.

Yes. We can create a new variable for the extension fields and assign 'Common Agreement' as Source object. If the extension field is appears either in MA or AGR use 'Common Agreement' for eg. standard fields like Currency, Company, Prod cat etc. If your extension field is only appearing in specific object, choose the particular object in the Source object and give appropriate attribute name.

We can also use the variable which we have not used it in any of the business document (object) but directly we can enter values during the Contract generation. For eg. we can create a variable like <%Enter.Scope%> and provide this scope in last screen of Contract generation even though this scope field is not appearing in any of the MA or AGR.

I think you did not get what I want. Let me try to be more clear:

I have an extension field (e.g. RISK_INDICATOR) in both MA and AGR. The field has the same id in both objects (i.e. RISK_INDICATOR) and has the same type.

When I now create a new variable I don't see my RISK_INDICATOR field when choosing 'Common Agreement' as source. It only shows up when I select 'Master Agreement' or 'Agreement'.

Is there a way to make it show up also for 'Common Agreement'?
