Time zone optional in product master

Hi Gurus,

Problem statement:

In ECC, I have a customer in which time zone is not maintained in address tab.

When i try to CIF customer with from ECC to EWM  it is getting stuck in the queue as Time zone is mandatory field in Product master in EWM.

Requirement:

On EWM side, I want to make time zone optional field in business partner .

I have tried making field time zone optional against BP Role BUP004 but no luck

Cross-Application Components - SAP Business Partner - Business Partner  -Basic Settings - Field Groupings-Configure Field Attributes per BP Role

Please share your experience and path to make it optional.

If you create Location for BP time zone is mandatory field.

Hi,

I don't think this is possible even with enhancement. Time zone is used for warehouse structure(which equals to plant), and all documents stored in tables have the time zone of your warehouse(to prevent time zone difference issues).
