free goods determination avilability check

Dear experts

we are having material type ND in material master

item category for main item and free item has scheduling line category assigned as cp

suppose if the stock available is 1000 and when i create sales order with 2000

system is determining free goods as 1800+200 but system is checking availability for the  main item and confirming 1000

where as for free goods item it is showing 200 as confirmed quantity.

in scope of check we have not considered sales requirements.

and when i create delivery only 1000 for the main item is getting determined with batch because of automatic batch determination.

if stock is not available than 1000 quantity should redetermine and give 900+100 as free goods.

can you guide how to consider avc for the free goods at sales order level itself. if not redtermination of free goods at delivery with proportionate quantities.

i have already searched the forum and i have tried even maintaining E in condition record but that did not work. even tried to maintain delivery group, for main item i could maintain but for free goods the field is coming in grey mode.

kindly help

regards

Gopi

Hi Gopi,

The ATP check in ECC is sequential, meaning that the item with the highest priority (mosty the first item in the sales order) gets confirmed first. What you are looking for is an ATP check that will behave in a certain way depending on the situation. This is a so called 'Rule Based ATP" and can only be performed using SAP APO. I am afraid you cannot automate the process that you wish.

Sjaak

hi

thanx for the suggestion.

Regarding ATP check i could understand from your message. but is there any probability that in delivery the confirmed quantity for the main item should get proportionally converted into free goods item based on the condition record maintained.
