Hi Friends ,
Can we have One position under/assigned two different ORG unit.??
Thanks in advance for answers
Basic concepts in OM/PA are:
1)A job is created in the company. Examples are Secretary, Manager, etc. These are also unique.
2)A position is created, assigned with a job from 1), under an Org Unit (OU). It can not exist in more than one OU.
3)A position may be managed by more than one position above, in the case of matrix management. Examples are: A certain project manager manages an employee for task management; The same employee is managed by another manager for career development. These would be through different types of relationships.
4)Different positions in one OU or different OU's may have similar characteristics like, requirements of education, training, experience, tasks, Yet the positions are different. This helps in recruitment, security profile, etc.
However security profiles may need to be additionally created for certain positions to ensure authorization is maintained as per business requirements.
5)An employee is assigned with a position for a certain period.
6)In some organizations, a position is shared by (or assigned to) by more than one employee, as observed in some Public Sector organizations. However, they may not maintain the percentage of share by different employees.
Still to be checked/verified how the concepts of positions in SAP ERP correlate with job profile in Success Factors. Luke Marson, some one in SAP-SF or similar people may be able to guide on this aspect.
Hope this helps.

From what I've seen, a position is usually assigned to one org unit. At least through the standard A 003 relationship. Could you explain what relationship the position should have to the two org units? Is it the same or are they different relationships?
