Input Control Linked Object - Default the Value

Hi,

I have a chart and table. The table has a rank on it and only shows the top 5.

The chart and table are linked. So if a user selects a country in the table it selects it in the chart.

By default I want the chart to display rank 1 country but if the user selects a different country I want that to be displayed in the chart.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Hi Leo,

1. Passing a default value in Linked element input control is not possible (its possible with normal input control) so what ever the table selects will be shown in chart by default

2. Now if I create a different input control for chart with a default value, there is no way I can clear the default value automatically when the end user selects different country in the table. The chart will render blank in this scenario.

So I don't think there is any straight forward way to achieve this. However you can raise an enhancement request with SAP to introduce the default value option in Linked element input control
