Exclude option is not working in selection screen input.

Hi Team,

I have an issue where when I provide an input in the selection screen input with exclude , it is not excluding that particular value rather it is excluding so many other fields along with that selections.

But if I execute the report and then exclude inside the report , then the report is working fine.

For ex : I have country field   where I have to exclude Omun.  I do have India ,Bangladesh ,  afghanisthan , Nepal etc also.

If I provide in selection screen as  Exclude OMun , it excludes not only omun but also some other country like Nepal , india as well. This is just an example I am giving for you all to understand the functionality.

Field country is a direct input field with manual selection input.

Please do let me know what could be the reason.

Hi,

Instead of applying input in the selection screen input with exclude OMUN . Try to apply the same in Filters pane .

Thanks for the immediate response. I have already tried that prior and it works in the filter pane perfectly. But the requirement is that user has to provide an input in selection screen only and the exclude is not working properly.

I would like to know why in selection screen input the exclude option is not working. is there any specific measure has to be checked.?

Hi,

Try to use RSR_VARIABLE_F4_RESTRICT_BADI for that IOBJ & exclude here . This badi will work for restricting  data at selection screen .

if you don't know how to work on this BADI search in scn/google you will get good documents related to this.

Thanks again for the input.

I do understand that changing the current functionality might help me in resolving this issue.  My query  is why is that standard functionality of the report is not  working now, its a standard functionality of SAP which should work normally.

So , please let me know why is that exclude functionality is not working in selection screen as of now? is there a specific reason for the same?

created variable represents   either single/multiple/selction option ?

try to use selction option , i heard some where for single/multiple filter option won't work.
