Datasources not found during BI Content activation

Hi Experts,

I am currently working on BI standard reports for OM/PA. I activated few datasources on ECC system and replicated the same in BI side. Now when I tried to refer to the BI content activation for standard datasources on BI system, some of the datasources are not available though they are already activated on the ECC side. In this regard, can someone suggest me how can I get those datasources in BI content and activate the same. Following are the datasources which are not reflecting in BI content:

0HRPOSITION_3_ATTR

0HR_OTYPE_2_TEXT

0JOB_2_TEXT

0OADP_POS_TEXT

0ORGUNIT_HR01_HIER

0TASK_TEXT

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Which BW versions your using?

Most of your data source will be available on BW on HANA.

Your BI content might lower version, please check with your basis and update required/latest bi content.

Thanks for your suggestion.

The support packages were different in both the systems (ECC one is newer as compared to the BW one). I will try to upgrade on BW side asap and will have a look if I can see the missing datasources.

In the meantime, I have one question with respect to datasource '0HRPOSITION_TM_ATTR'. In the ECC side, after activation when I refer to the extractor checker there are no records available for the respective datasource. But the master data are available for the fields in the respective tables. Is there any activation procedure available to reflect the data in the datasource ? Please suggest.

Hi,

'0HRPOSITION_TM_ATTR' data is not avalibe for this.

if data is not avalible in data source you need to check the source tables.

source table have data you will get the data RSA3 extractor for particualr data soruce

ex-  0VENDEOR _ATTR - for this data soruce get data form  LFA1 table.

LFA1 table have data same data will apper 0VENDOR_ATTR data soruce

if data is not fetehcing you need to debug the extractor.

ex- 2LIS_11_VAHDR - data soruce build on tables  VBAK table and some master data tables.

VABK have data same data will appear at data source - 2LIS_11_VAHDR

For HR data sources extractions we need HR related authorisaitons, so please check about it.

Later check about activation of related business function at SFW5. this might be done by Functional team.
