Hi Team,

I want to configure SDA (smart data access) from MS SQL 2000/2005/2008. Could you please provide the procedure document.

SAP HANA version: 1.0, SPS 09, Released 93

MSSQL version: SQL server 2000, SQL server 2005, SQL server 2008 R2.

I have check the S-Note: 1868209 regarding SDA, based on this note SQL server 2000/2005/2008 is not supported for SDA so please give a confirmation. If in case it is not supported, How to do the access of old versions of SQL server databases. Please guide me the solving this issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Veera Surendra. G

HI Veera,

I agree with Candy, SDA currently only supports MS SQL version 2012.. for other versions you will need to use Data Services (BODS and it works), SLT (I have issues connecting so I would say it is not 100% guaranteed this will work but I have seen other scn posts where people apparently have made it work) or maybe ODBC connection.

hope this helps

Hi Veera,

This could be a limitation of SDA, only the databases mentioned in note 1868209 are supported.

SQL Server 2012 is mandatory.

Best regards,

Candy
