Contact Center landscape planning



I'd like to request feedback on SAP Contact Center landscape planning. Usually SAP recommends a 3 system landscape for other applications (e.g. ECC) but I am wondering what would be the recommendation for SAP Contact Center. I am not familiar with its development environment, but I would imagine there are mechanisms to move and promote new objects or changes to a production environment much like an ABAP system.

In the scenario where Contact Center is integrated with SAP CRM a development (and possibly quality) and production systems would make send due to the configuration of the 'backend' landscape, but what about a standalone SAP Contact Center system landscape? I would imagine at least a development and production systems would be beneficial, although with the multiple components of SAP Contact Center it could be a complex environment.
