SAP B1 version for SAP HANA

Hi,

I am new to SAP B1 version for HANA,I have few question in my mind ,can anyone help me to clear following points

What are the options available on SAP HANA for SAP B1 9.1/9.2.

What does SAP B1 engine for SAP HANA means.

What edition of SAP HANA comes with SAP B1 9.1/9.2

What are the options available on SAP HANA for SAP B1 9.1/9.2.

SAP Business One comes in a flavor for HANA.  The current release is 9.1 PL08.  The same release also exist for SAP Business One for MS-SQL.

What does SAP B1 engine for SAP HANA means.

This means you are using the SAP HANA Platform to provide the DB engine for B1,

What edition of SAP HANA comes with SAP B1 9.1/9.2

At the moment HANA revision 85.3 is certified for B1 9.1 PL08.

Do we need HANA DB engine for each company B1 database OR one DB engine can have multiple databases for B1.

The HANA platform provides a DB engine.  That DB can have multiple schemas (HANA name for database), just like you can do with MS-SQL.

Is there any limit to create schema in one HANA DB Engine .We have 4 HANA DB Engine license for B1 and 15 company databases to deploy.

Is B1 app requires client access license for HANA DB same as MS SQL it is required to have CAL for application users.

Hi Mohammad,

The only limit to creating schemas is having the resources available.  When I say resources available I mean RAM.  We license HANA for B1 in 64-GB segments.  If you have 4 blocks I would understand that to me you have 256 GB of memory.

You will need a Business One license along with your HANA license.  Before you install the B1 client on a Windows machine you will need to install the HANA client for Windows.  I would suggest installing the 64 and 32 bit version.
