Hi All,

Could you please explain me how to cleanup master data or transnational data in C4C?  Is there any way to archive/restore the data in C4C?  Please help me with your inputs.

Regards,

Maddy

Hello Maddy,

Unfortunately, there is no technical concept of a tenant refresh in C4C. This is not a standard production activity.
Can you please elaborate on the use-case?

From what I understand the best way out would be to do a manual tenant replacement. I can help you further only if I undestand the use-case behind the query.

Hi Suraj,

Thank you for the response.  I was assigned to this task by my senior folks to explore on data cleanup scenario.  Since there is no way of cleanup the data in C4C, its of no use to explore on the same.

As you recommended, tenant replacement would be the best way.  Would you please educate me what is tenant replacement and how it works?  Is there any document/info available to explore more on this?

Thank you again.

Hello Maddy,

By tenant replacement I am referring to a manual procedure of procuring a new tenant which is a solution profile copy of the existing one. Please note we would require you to furnish a very strong reason for our support though. We at SAP can help you by extracting the Master Data if you create an incident requesting the same. The extract would be in the form of migration templates, hence would enable you to directly use them to be uploaded migration work bench.

The transactional data can be extracted out using the reporting functionality of C4C.

Since, you would no longer require the existing tenant it can be decommissioned after the above process is completed. Hence you will not be charged for the same.

The data extraction activity is conducted by our Managed Services team who are responsible for hosting our cloud landscape, in either an end-of-lifecycle scenario or ad-hoc situations like project re-implementation. The final call on whether or not a data extraction can be performed for your use-case will lie with the management of the said team.

There is no public document with the above process because such requests are considered on a case-to-case basis.

Thank you.

Suraj
