hi experts,

i have a problem when create PO.

I have a info record for a material, and the price is valid to 2015.12.31 and the price contol indicator is 2(delivery date)

when i create PO and put a delivery date 2015.8.20, then the system give the right price according to the price valid date.

But when i change the PO delivery date to 2016.8.20, the system will not get any message and save successfully.

for a correct result, cos in the delivery date 2016.8.20 there is no valid price, the system should give a erro message and can't save the PO

So, is there anybody know how to deal with this issue.

Thank you for all your helps.

I have got the solution. pls reference the notes:1819416

Hi Leon

System will not update PO prices if make any changes once PO got created. if you want to really update the current pricing .. you have to go to conditions tab.. click on Update Button .. then choose Indicator B.., No Other option is possible.. There is no configuration available what you are trying to do.. May be possible with some logic and development of ABAP you can able to udpate PO price based on delivery .. but that is a development.

ME_PROCESS_CUST_PO BADI may be useful when you make changes and update price in PO based on delivery date in EKET and Purchasing info record conditions tables.

Question does your buyer change already existing purchase orders and update the delivery dates ???

If new items to be ordered at different price why not they separate line item or create new purchase order. As purchase order.. I would also recommend to you use SA, so you can avoid creating PO and your sourcing team directly maintain the prices in SA.

Delivery date based conditions and PO creation date pricing determination is new to me, Interested to know more about it. I found below link which will explain about them

Price Determination - Purchasing (MM-PUR) - SAP Library

Thank you very much all of you.

i have tried to set the system message to erro(now i set it as warning message), but this message 06 484 will always pop up when i change the delivery date, no mater there is a new price or not. so this is a little problem.

I know manually update the condition by item. but my client requirement is the buyer can't touch the price(it's determined by sourcing buyer), so they don't know when they should update the price, otherwise, they should always update the condition when theny change the delivery date. there is a lot of job for them.

anyway, the suggestions from you are much help for me. thanks a lot.

Hi,

Info record detailed saved in a table and already created PO saved in a different table. Once PO data already created- how automatically PO data changed on  changes of delivery date unless  you update the pricing on condition tab

Did your PO price determination designed  for with delivery date or with PO creation date with regards to condition types associated

Regards,

Dear Leon

Once PO is created, All the conditions in the PO are time-independent. System will carry out price change automatically as desired by you.

If you still want to update the price. Goto Condtions Tab.. You will be a button named "Update"

Click on that then select indicator B- Carry Out new pricing.

Nothing will happen automatically, but think this may be possible using some development but I never worked on such developments.

Please follow the following steps and check in your system,

1) OLME --> Purchasing --> Environment Data --> Define attributes of  System Messages --> System Messages --> Se Message number 484 as error.

Note: If you not maintained system message category then you won't get the error/warning message.
