adding BG fields in PO header

hi

we are using sap ehp 4. in po there is no field related to bank guarantee. i want fields related to bank guarantee at po header level.

for eg: a date field in which i can mention the validity date of BG

and a yes/no checkbox which i can check if BG is submitted on time

only these 2 fields are required and nothing much.

are there any fields in po which can utilised for this purpose? if not, then pls guide me how to proceed further

SAP has no spare fields, all fields are used for a desired purpose,  and SAP  has easy ways to extend tables and to implement own tabs in the PO to show and maintain such fields

To implement a own table, you need to consult with your ABAP team. You need to tell the the purpose of this field to your ABAPer.

Hi Kriti,

You may consider using the enhancement on Purchase Order Customer Tab which can be activated by implementing enhancement to MM06E005 through CMOD and screen exits in order to create the customer tab with the field you mentioned.  several posting in scn have been made already regarding the customer fields/customer tab.

For Kriti there is no standard solution for using BG.. You can enhance EKKO table to add these fields or you can new text to PO header text to mention these details. if you are going to use them as information only then use PO header text - You can name that text as Bank Guarantee. If you are planning to build further development in FI or MIRO.. then enhance PO header.

There is also standard process on Retention in EHP4. You can also explore it to certain level.
