Maintenance Plan Scheduling from Last Completion Date

I have a query regarding one of the Maintenance Plan with 3 months frequency.

Why is that the Planned date at row 3 is of 28th Aug when last completion was on 14 May 2015, as I was expecting it to be on 12 Aug as per 3 month frequency (90 days)?

Also it is required that the next date is exactly calculated from the last completion date, whats need to be done?

I have gone through different answers on scn but still needs assistance.

Thanks

Faisal

Hello

Please Use Scheduling Indicator as Time-Key Date and reschedule it

Thanks. I did that, but as 3rd call was already called(order generated)  the only change i saw was that the fourth call date changed from 26 Nov 2015 as in screen shot above to 28 Nov 2015.

1. I was wondering whats the effect of Shift and Tolerance factors on this date?

2. Also by using the Time-Key Date, i understand that next date will be exactly of the same day of the desired month. But my requirement is that the next call date should always take into account the Last completion date for calculation?

Hello

Answer-->as there is Shift and Tolerance factors Zero so no effect on your scheduling at all.

2. Also by using the Time-Key Date, i understand that next date will be exactly of the same day of the desired month. But my requirement is that the next  call date should always take into account the Last completion date for calculation?

Answer-->

Until a maintenance call has the status Completed, the planned date of the maintenance call serves as the basis for scheduling the maintenance plan.

This can lead to the system generating new maintenance calls, without the previous maintenance call having the status Completed.

I understand the logic as explained by you for Point no. 2. Thanks.

But for Point 1 above, when i set both the Shift factor to 100, Tolerance to 0 and Scheduling Indicator to Time only, i get the desired result. Whats exactly did this 100% achieved for me?

Hello

When you use shift factor as 100% for both of below cases

  •   Premature completion
  •   Delayed completion

It will take account of difference of  planned date and actual date and shift your call dates by this difference in both case Premature completion &  Delayed completion
