Error IN activating REports in Sales

We  are Implementing Interaction Reports in SAP CRM without BI

following C41 , but VDM reports are not repliction ,

manually replicated through RSA1

but still

/crmbw/config_wizard is throwing the following error

needed assistance urgent

plz c the attachment

Hi Varmar,

Could you please activate all of the report and report area in ORDYWB?

Then please replicate all the OLTP datasource in RSA1 in BI client again.

I have done it still the same,

i tried one more option which cleared my errors

In rsa1

in display data source manualy activated the following Datasources assigning Infosource and reactivating once again has worked

Hi Jay,

Grace pointed me at this very interesting thread. As I can see, you were facing exactly the same issue as I'm currently facing when trying to activate SAP CRM Best Practices C41 "CRM Interactive Reporting" on a 7.0 EHP3 system without a separate BI client and without a SAP HANA-based DB.

I created a separate SCN thread for this (and Grace already gave me some good hints and advice.

Now in order to get rid of the "BW: DataSource <SAP HANA VDM DS name> is not replicated" error messages the CRM Interactive Reporting Configuration Wizard keeps raising, I wanted to try this one option you described here that solved the problem for you.

As you said above, you tried the following:

And so I also tried to assign an InfoSource to one of my problematic SAP HANA VDM DataSources (e.g. /CRMBW/OLTP_ACTIVITY_VDM) but this did not work. In RSA1, when I edited/changed the DataSource, it simply did not ask me to assign an InfoSource to it. And I don't know how to explicitly trigger the assignment of an InfoSource to a DataSource. It seems to work for non-SAP HANA VDM DataSources but not for these special ones...

I also tried changing and re-activating the DataSource and also activated the reports/report areas again in Tx ORDYWB but to no avail, the Configuration Wizard still keeps raising these errors:

BW: DataSource /CRMBW/OLTP_SLS_ORDER_VDM is not replicated

BW: DataSource /CRMBW/OLTP_SLS_QUOTATION_VDM is not replicated

BW: DataSource /CRMBW/OLTP_SRV_ORDER_VDM is not replicated

BW: DataSource /CRMBW/OLTP_SRV_PROBLEM_VDM is not replicated

So could you do me a favor and describe in more detail (step-by-step if possible) what changes exactly you made/performed in Tx. RSA1 in order to get rid of these error messages.

Any help is greatly appreaciated here since this issue is really bugging me and it's not really clear to me how to activate SAP Best Practices CRM Interactive Reporting on a non-SAP HANA system.

HI

go to T.Code-RSDS

check the datasource in your error

give destination 

then click on datasource on left top corner

and restore 3.xdata source

now go to rsa1

right click on the data source

replicate meta data

then go to display

go to change mode

it will ask to maintain transfer rule(3.x data source can only b processed with transfer rule)

click yes

press activate

take the required info source(slelect non vdm ) and activate it and redo it if its shows warning it will solve ur issue

i hope this will resolve ur issue

try this if not i will giv another one

Now, there's only some warning messages left referring to the VDM DataSources in the output of the Configuration Wizard:

Dear Varmar,

Like Shawn recommended, please try to re-activate all the report and report areas in CRM client, and then replicate all the datasources in RSA1 of BI client. After that, please re-run the transaction code /CRMBW/CONFIG_WIZARD and check the errors.

Moreover,for the errors like DataSource /CRMBW/XXXXXXX_VDM is not replicated" is related to new report areas based on HANA. If you intend to use them, please check the pre-requisites in the below link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crmhana/helpdata/en/e3/c9b45527384a46abb6d60e016a9fe2/content.htm If you do not want to use them, you may ignore the errors and continue to use the classic interactive reporting in your system.

ur link for pre-Requisites for reports based on hana has helped me lot to make my client understand  those will not b working without HANA
