Greetings Kotagiri,

Units of Measure always relate to numerical values. Why would you like to create new Units of Measure? To specify 3 times "yes" or a double "no"? Does not make sense.

Characteristics can be qualitative. But Measuring Points can only use numeric characteristics.

For measurements, you need to create Catalog Codes for valuation in QS41, as Mr Jogeswara Rao Kavala suggested.

Hi Srinika,

Yes,you can create units of measurements for "YES" and "NO" according to requirement, just like we are creating for other units of measurements.Use Tcode CUNI and save your Customizing request.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for prompt replay, our Business has been using this "YES or NO" unit of measurement to indicate the condition/status of AC Generators in Legacy system, the same i wanted to put in ECC.

however please let me know if there is an issue with having this unit of measurement added to the existing list.

Srinika,

I would investigate the use of equipment user statuses for your current "YES/NO" values. From your description, this would seem to fit your requirement. I'm not sure how adding units of measure would help.
