BPC 10 - DM package script - Accepting single value thru PROMPT variable?

Dear All,

When I prompt for values from a dimension within DM package script, how can I restrict the user to select ONLY ONE value? That's to display Radio Button so that they can specify one value.

Thank you
Peri

Hi Peri,

There is PROMPT RADIOBUTTON that allows selection of a single value only. Just take DM Package script doc a run Ctrl+F for RADIOBUTTON.

Thanks, Gersh.

I have no issue showing hard coded values using PROMPT RADIO BUTTON. But, how can I do that for values coming from a DIMENSION? Sorry, if I am confusing.

Thank you,

Peri

Hi Peri,

Radiobutton can show only hard coded values. So, unless you want to generate Package script and mimic Save action there is no way to display Dimension members in that prompt.

You can try putting 20 values there and check how ugly that prompt will look.

I think you have better chances with Combobox, but even it won't allow dynamic list of values.

Hi Peri

You should find content related to radio buttons for DMP on SCN and Google Search. Did you search  for the same? Please detail requirement a little more if that did not serve your purpose.
