Pre-requisites of ChaRM for Support pack upgrade to SP13 in solution manager 7.1

Hello,

Good day.

We have solution manager system version 7.1 with SP12 and I need to perform the upgrade from SP12 to SP13 as per client requirement.

ITSM, ChaRM functionalities are already implemented in my system.

Could you please let me know the pre-requisites what we have to do before the upgrade especially for ChaRM (Maintenance cycle)

As I heard from my senior colleagues, we have to close the maintenance cycle before upgradation. Here my doubt is  what about the existing TR`s which are in still "In Development" phase.

Whether its mandatory to close the maintenance cycle ? Please suggest the document provided by SAP for the same.

I am unable to find anywhere about this in the "Upgrade document for Solution Manager 7.1".

Hi Hemanth

What is it exactly you'll be doing, updating from 7.1 SP x to 7.1 SP y or upgrading from 7.0 to 7.1 because you might be mixing terms here.

I don't know of any such requirements if you update from 7.1 SP x to 7.1 SP y but a general rule applies here and that's test in development (I hope you do have a development SAP Solution Manager system) ~ so you'll automatically notice there if it's necessary or not.

Present I need to perform UPGRADE from solman7.1SP12 to solman  SP13.

I I need the pre requisite steps for charm project maintenance cycle. 

Shall I close the maintenance cycle or no need?

That's what I meant it's not an upgrade, that's a SP update so you shouldn't have that need.
