Question: Input ready query : How to derive value for the Characteristic UOM using value of Attribute of another characteristic?

Hello,

I have an multiprovider with a realtime infoprovider as one of the cubes in it. In the realtime cube I have a key figure 'Quantity' (0QUANT) which requires unit of measure. On the characteristics side I have "Statistical Key Figure' as a characteristic. This characteristic has UOM as an Attribute.

For the characteristic values, there are many statistical key figures, each with a different unit of measure

I am trying to build an input ready query with Statistical Key figures as rows and key figure 'Quantity' as column (marked as input-ready).

In the query, I have to have characteristic UOM as one of the filters or drill-down characteristics in order for the query to be inputtable. But if I do put in this filter / drill-down characteristic and choose 'master data' in the results/selection, I get all the UOM values in the rows. I want to restrict the value for UOM to match the value of the UOM Attribute of the Statistical Key Figure.

Getting result

SKF(Characteristic) (Row) SKF UOM (Attribute)(Row) UOM (Characteristic)(Row) Quantity(Column) Number of items EA # " "2 .. .... Square feet FT2 # " "2 .. .... Wireless usage MIN # " "2 .. ....

Expected result

SKF(Characteristic) (Row) SKF UOM (Attribute)(Row) UOM (Characteristic)(Row) Quantity(Column) Number of items EA EA 100 Square feet FT2 FT2 250 Wireless usage MIN MIN 1000

Is there any way I can achieve the above without resorting to Exits/ABAP/Badi/programming?
