Hi PP experts,

Production order was created already, but the SO item confirmed delivery date is postponed. After run MRP, the basic date and scheduled date in production order did not updated accordingly. How to update the basic date and scheduled date in production order? Thank you.

Regards,

Steve

Dear Steve,

The dates will not be automatically scheduled or updated upon SO delivery date changes if the production order already exist.

In this case, since the delivery date has been postponed to a later date, please schedule the production order using the backward scheduling method. Enter the delivery date or any nearer date, select backward scheduling and click on schedule button. Production Order will be scheduled automatically.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

which kind of strategy/production are you using?

In MTS production (i.e, strategy 10, 11, 40) the production order dates (basic and scheudled) are not updated according to the shifting of requirments date.

There's no mass job that will update the dates of the production orders.

The system will give you exception messages that you need to manually manage.

These kind of messages ( visible through MD04, 05, 06, 07) are grouped in EXCEPTIONS GROUPS. The message group you might be interested in are the "scheduling" messages (group 7).

These messagese will suggest to:

- reschedule in

or

- reschedule out

your procurement object (i.e. production order) according to the shifting of the requirments

Please reward if helpful.
