e-Recruitment Access for External User

Dear Friends,

SAP e-Recruitment System - How to provide access for external user i.e., contract employee, which can perform daily activities role like Recruiter & Recruiting Administrator activities in the Portal system. Note: We don't maintain HR Master Data for external user (contract employees) in the SAP System.

Please suggest how to process this activities in the system for the external user..

Hello Raghavendra,

there is an agancy solution which allows external agencies to add applications to existing requisitions. Unfortunately this will probably not cover your full functional requirement.

So you will have to create an internal candidate for your contractor. In standalone installations this is not a big issue. You can either use report RCF_CREATE_USER or an admin function. Only important thing to make sure is to use a range of employee ids which will never be used in the HR core system. Otherwise it could happen that the HR to eRec integration will some day try to transfer an employee with an employee id already used for a contractor.

In my projects we define such range even w/o the contractor issue as there are technical users which need a candidate (e.g. WF-BATCH or in case SAP Support requires access). As there are 100 Million possible employee ids there should usually be a way to block some numbers for eRec .

Hi Raghu,

As of my knowledge ,External Users data should exist in system to perform activities of Recruiter & Recruiting Administrator.

Assigning recruiter to the requisition is done w.r.t to PERNR.

Still, you can wait for more replies.
