Hi,
At Asian Paints we were using IBM Connections for over 3 years. Now that we are using SuccessFactors, we plan to use JAM.
Is there any way to move content from IBM Connections to JAM?
Content would include - blogs, forums, files (doc, videos, images, excels, ppts, zip files etc)
We are in urgent need of a migration solution since we need to get this done by September.
If you need to move a lot of content I would suggest using the SAP Jam OData API to build a tool that imports the data from your existing system into SAP Jam. We have seen similar projects with customers where they have done similar imports. You would need a developer familiar with your content structure and familiar with REST APIs. If this is a possibility please let me know and then I can make further suggestions.

A few other suggestions in addition to what Rob advised on this:
1.) We recently introduced the SAP Jam activity hub, a desktop client that shows aggregated feed events from SAP Jam and IBM Connections. You could use that as a mechanism to slowly migrate from Connections to Jam, and provide less of a jarring experience in moving between the two for end users.
2.) We also recently introduced the SAP Jam file sync client for Microsoft Windows. This would allow you to synchronize large folder/file structures from other repositories.
3.) You could also consider using the "extract zip" file option, which allows you to unzip a single file in Jam and retain the file folder structure/hierarchy.
These suggestions from Steve are really good. I would suggest you take a look at them. In the end it is going to come down to the specific requirements you have for the migration.
My suggestion is to POC the options Steve suggested, as they don't require a developer to provide support. If the POCs don't exactly fit your needs then you can move on to an API approach, and I can provide more guidance at that time.
