How to apply Rendering Modes to vds format?

Hello guys,

I have a question regarding Visual Enterprise Author.

I'd like to apply rendering modes other than solid (like wire frame, line illustration, etc.) to vds file. But whenever I have saved as vds, rendering mode is back to solid.

May I know whether there is any way to apply rendering mode other than solid to vds format?

Thanks in advance,

Shinya

The .vds format was created as a high performance format for large files with the most optimized hardware support possible for PCs and tablets. Currently it is a limitation in the .vds format to support these line drawing modes. Technically, the line illustration modes require more resources from computers and tablets even though it would seem the opposite. It could be added in the future, but will impact performance.

The .rh format does support all drawing methods and can be used for Windows applications and viewer.

I hope this helps.

Dear Adam,

Thank you for your clear answer.

I hope that those rendering modes will be supported in near future as smart devices performances have been increasing.

Best regards,

Shinya
