Transport of packaging material

Hi,

I want to transport a material from Handling Unit Managed, Warehouse Managed Plant storage location to another plant storage location which is not HU managed nor WM.

The packing material in the first plant resides in a non-HU managed, non_WM storage location.

I created an STO an outbound delivery and an inbound delivery. As soon as I post the GI on the outbound delivery, the stock qty of the packaging material decreases in the first plant. On the other hand when I post the GR of the inbound delivery in the receiving plant the stock qty of the packaguing material does not increase.

Any suggestion?

Did you read anywhere that your expectations can be fulfilled?

The handling unit is lost in moment you move the good into a location which is not HU managed.

You have to post an unplanned receipt (501) for the packaging once you can make use of it, which is probably later than at the moment of the receipt since the packaging it is around the goods and you have to physically remove the goods from the packaging to get again an empty packaging.
