Technical Monitoring - Check Profile Parameters

Hi experts,

does anybody know a metric, maybe with root-cause analysis, to check profile parameters of SAP-Systems/Instaces.

E.g. to check if the parameter "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar" is set to 1.

Or other important parameters (especially security) are set correctly.

Kind regards

Thx Prakhar,

but you missunderstood.

I want to check in Technical Monitoring, if the managed systems are having correctly set parameters.

So a permanent check.

Hi Chistian,

No problem.

the requirement is much achievable.

first you need to check the configuration validation below

a how to guide for checking security settings across the landscape(pg 10 onwards)

https://support.sap.com/content/dam/library/support/support-programs-services/support-services/SIS26...

further you can try to configure an alert based upon above

hope this helps

Thanks

Hi,

did you find out, how to create an alert for the changes of the profile?

The Configuration Validation can compare the parameter with reference system only. Or can it check the changes?

Thanks,

Sergey

hi,

exactly.

We are just comparing a template to current parameters.

And if this doesn't match we get an alert.

One problem, if you would trigger the parameter changes, you can just trigger the changes via SAP.

But not if somebody does directly a change via OS.

If you compare to a defined template, you will catch all.
