How to move existing Portal Applications to a new EP server

Hello Experts,

We are upgrading database of our  EP (7.01) server and to achieve that we are installing a new development server. Quality and production servers will be installed likewise. We will continue with our existing servers and will move on the new one once new production gets ready.

We have to keep the new servers in sync with the existing one. So we need to move our existing applications (WD Java, J2EE, Lib DCs, Portal DCs) and open activities (in NWDS) to the new development server. We will be moving these applications/activities to the new quality and production once done with their installation.

Please suggest the best way to complete this activity.

Our basis team is thinking for a system copy. Plese suggest if it would be helpful and provide relevant documents for the same.

Hi,

System Copy is the correct approach in that case.
