Unable to distribute IBD from ECC to EWM

Hi,

We have all necessary system configuration set-up for distributing deliveries from ECC to EWM system. We are able to distribute deliveries from ECC to EWM except in the below case.

We are trying to create a PO for internal order (Account assignment category F) in ECC. For this PO, we are planning to create an IBD and then distribute the delivery to EWM system. We are able to create the delivery but unable to distribute the delivery to EWM. I de-bugged the distribution program and found out that for GR (101 movt type) of PO with Acct assgn cat F and consumption V combination, "Reference Movement Type in WM" is set up as 999 and in that standard program, SAP does not allow to distribute this kind of IBDs.

Is it the standard SAP behaviour not to allow distribute deliveries for which the "Reference Movt Type for WM" is set as 999? Please suggest.

Thanks

SBS

if reference movement type value is maintained as 999 then it means data will not move to WM(means this process is IM relevent only)

However with my little knowledge of EWM i don't think that issue is related to the one which you highlighted as once you assign the EWM warehouse number the after creation of IBD if it refers to EWM warehouse then at the time of saving the IBD. when you save the delivery, didn't you get the message "Delivey is distributed"

Hi,

I have created another PO with same document type, same material but without account assignment, I am able to create the delivery which gets distributed to EWM. Because for reference movement type for WM setting, the reference movt type is set as 101 for PO without acct assignment. As per the standard distribution program, the distribution will be stopped only for reference movt type 999. Thats why for the second case, system allows to distribute the delivery to EWM.

I just wanted to confirm if this is the normal behaviour of SAP that stops the distribution of deliveries to EWM if the ref. movt type for WM is set as 999? If this is normal SAP behaviour, then we will find some workaround or make config changes to accommodate this scenario.

Thanks

Hi SBS,

In my knowledge as per your case PO for internal order (Account assignment category F) in ECC ,there will be no stock at IM as well as warehouse, Because it will consume in your internal order as soon as it received(GR) .

Then What is the need of distribute to EWM ?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,

Ajit

Hi SBS,

Yes this is standard behaviour, As mentioned by others in the thread, actually it is not required to distribute the delivery because the consumption is happening at IM level itself.

Still if it is required in your case then you can simply change the reference movement type so it will get distributed as other deliveries.

I understand (correct me if I am wrong) you might have requirement to distribute the delivery to EWM because the goods (even though account assign category) will be delivered and received in warehouse.
