Number Lines in a C4C Quote

Hi,

One of my client is looking to do a complex quote in SAP C4C. Their average lines in a quote is between 400 to 500 with a maximum quote of about 1000 lines. Will SAP C4C support such a larger volume? Does anybody have experience with such a large volume of lines?

Thanks

Ashish

This surely depends on the change scenario and how the items
are added to the document. If lots of manual changes on item level are
required, performance will surely be impacted.  If product pictures
should be included to the output form, I see limitations. We saw satisfying
response times around 200 line items. Only uploading 1000 items took
around 6 minutes. In case quote needs to be changed or items needs to be
manually added, I would not speak of an acceptable performance. Here we
see potential of improvements. Note that the overview of the quote and
lack of item search within the quote so far will have further impacts to
the usability.

Thanks Guenter for the quick response. Are there any plans to fix this issue in the near future.

Would SAP CRM be a better option as it can probably support more than 200 lines ( I think 500 or so)?

Currently we do not have a big customer demand for high volume items in sales quotes or sales orders. We focus in the cloud additionally on mobile scenarios. Therefore this is not a prioritized backlog item for now. SAP CRM is surely very powerful with the downside of not being in the cloud.
