Hyperlinks in WWI template using phrase

Hello Christoph,

I could see many posts to add hyperlinks to WWI template. For one of the post you have replied 'a hyperlink referring to text' (www.sap.com -->text: Go to SAP) is not possible. But a hyperlink not referring to text is possible. We would like to have similar functionality where we will directly add URL's to phrase.

Can you please let me know how to do it. when i add url www.sap.com to phrase. It shows up on template as a text. I do not get it in blue color and with hyperlink hand symbol on it. I have manually copy link and paste it in browser.

Appriciate your time and assistance on this.

Kind Regards

Hello Amol,

Hyperlink to text is not possible, i tried once and its not working as i expected.

Make a try like this Phrase ID : ZCUST-H02.00000045 & Phrase text : www.sap.com

and insert Desc. symbol as Hyperlink , it will work in static case i guess. It will display as www.sap.com

Hope it will help you !!!!

Thanks

Satya

Dear Amol

this is a "Word" topic only and is not related to WWI. I am not sure on Satya's feedback

E.g. you can define a "header phrase" in any "font" format you would like to get in WinWord. During WWI process the process take e.g. the "text" from phrase and "format" this text according to the format of the phrase in the WWI document. So I would expect that potentially the "hyperlink" topic might work. In any case. it is not "worse" to have "only" the text "www.sap.com" in the document (without the option to "navigate" to this internet address in one run.

Dear Amol

the phrase can be embeeded using two "main" options

a.) as "header" phrase

b.) as part of a value assignment

For one. you have a phrase used e.g. as: SAPXY-ABC (having text www.sap.com). If you "format" this phrase in WWI aS OF TYPE "HYPERLINK" i would imagine that the WWI will replace the phrase SAPXY-ABC by the text "www.sap.com" without loosing the "hyperlink" format information (as with font informaiton etc.)

The same might be possible if you do not have a "header" phrase but retrieve phrases as part value assignement. May be just "format" the WWI symbol

Never tried it. So im interested if it will work

Hi CB,

Thanks for your response, I have created a phrase with url. but i am not able to determine how to add it OF TYPE HYPERLINK ? Do you mean to say we need to create a symbol of type hyperlink? Or is there any other option where you can add phrase as HYPERLINK?
