Explorer Install

Hello ,

Our base version install is SP04 and we then Installed SP05 and SP06 patches.

We are planning to install Explorer now. Should I download new installation of Explorer SP06 or Should I to go patches section and to apply any patches.

In Production , we have 3 nodes .Do I need to run the setup.exe files in all the 3 servers ?. Please correct me If I m wrong.

Best practice is to follow same as BI install SP4 -> SP5 -> SP6 on explorer install.

In Production, how is you BI deployed, distibuted like Tomcat on one server, CMS on one server. or all 3 nodes have web tier + CMS. ?

We are currently on 4.1 SP06. Do we still need to install SP4 -> SP5 -> SP6 explorer. Can you please confirm.

Hi,

You need to follow the same installation sequence for BO Explorer which you have followed with BI Server installation.

You can do installation on all three nodes or can use separate standalone box for BO explorer installation.

Based on the Explorer usage keep in mind the BO explorer sizing also.

You need to install web app of  Explorer in all 3 nodes. For explorer servers, you need to install on separate server and follow above sizing guide limk mentioned by Amit
