Hello,
in near future it should be possible to consolidate different Systems, for example ERP and CRM in one central S/4Hana
Hi Andreas,
there's a blog on the HR/PLM/CRM strategy in S/4HANA:
BTW:
This blog is also linked from the S/4HANA Cookbook which will be updated continuously:
Best,

Hello Tom,
hello Joerg,
thank you for your answers. Co-Deployment of different systems in One Central S/4 Hana System has a technical background that i`m not able to fully undrstand.
In the past we had also the possibility to use MCOD or one Datbase for different Systems.
Co-Deployment seems to be another method.
Lets take an example with ERP and CRM:
In the past we needed for ERP and CRM two systems with two different SID`s.
Both systems were connected via the middleware.
In the future we will deploy both systems in one Database (Co-Deployment) but we will still have two different SID`s, one for ERP and one for CRM; and we still need the middleware. Is that correct?
Is it planned with S/4Hana two merge for example a CRM and ERP System so that we do not need the middleware anymore and we will have only one SID for all different Applicaions?
In this conetxt it would be very helpful to know if a cusomer who starts with a CRM Standalone Sytems has later the possibility to intergrate an ERP System via the Co-Deployment.
Or is a Co-Deployment of CRM under S/4 Hana only possible based on an existing ERP Installtion?
The backgroud of my question is: I want to sart with CRM 7.0 EHP3 on Hana and proceed with ERP as soon as Co-Deployment and SIMPLE-Logistsics with ERP are availabe and released.
Sorry for delay, I was on holidays.
Thank you in advance.
Hi Andreas
I would think SAP would leave out the middleware in the future which would make it much more interesting for a customer to combine CRM and ERP.
I would interpret slide 23 in the S/4 HANA roadmap in that way but I'm not sure if SAP means that by "add-on deployment of CRM". It sure does sound that way.
It doesn't mention anything about migration either. I can ask product management to what extent they can provide a statement but I cannot promise anything of course.
For now they are still seperated, the middleware is still there. It looks like you can combine CRM and ERP using multitenant database containers:

Kind regards

Hi Tom,
I´ve read Note 2096000. Exactly as I assumed.
A Co-Deploment is an AddOn which will be installed with TA Saint. Simple Finance or Simple Logistics can be deployed on an ERP System. Later, also CRM can be deployed on an ERP Systems.
The question is now: A Customer who runs today CRM 7.0 EHP 3 in Standalone, what possibilities has this Customer to integrate ERP as soon as the Deployment Procedure is common available for more Applications?
All this Systems are based on Netweaver. For me it would make sense that a Customer has in the future also the possibility to make a Co-Deployment of ERP based on CRM.
If this is not possible the Customer with the CRM System only has two ways: First, Intergartion of ERP without Co-Deployment and using the Middleware or making a complicate Migration of Data.
It would be great if you can ask product Management what possibilies the CRM Customer has with the later ERP Integration and the new Deployment Procedure.
Thank you in advance.
Andreas
Hi Andreas
You should take a look at the S/4 HANA Business Suite product roadmap on SAP Service Marketplace, these kind of statements are visible there.
https://service.sap.com/roadmaps
One of the statements sais in the future innovation:
SAP S/4HANA On-premise Edition ready for Add-on deployment of SAP CRM
