Cannot access transport directory-Sneak preview

Hi all,

when im trying to Realese activity in NWDS i'm becoming error saying that: "Internal error:com.sap.cms.util.exception.CMSUnexpectedException cannot access transport directory"

Someone knows where is the problem?

Hi Karol,

check if the cms_adm user of NWDI has access rights to the transport directory.

The transport directory is located at /usr/sap/JTrans

I don´t know why this access is required when releasing an activity but it may help to change the directory permissions.

i mean the tranposrt not the activity..

but anyway.. i dont see the cms_adm under user accounts.. should i just create it manually?

btw in NWDI im logging as admin

Hi Karol,

I´m a bit confused now. Do you want to release activites in NWDS or do you want to import, assemble, approve in CMS Web UI?

The user that is defined under Domain data of CMS Web UI needs the permission for the folder.

Hi Helmut,

yes, i want to import asemble and so on..

ive checked the configuration ifor Domain Data and the transport directory is set to D:\ but that partition does'nt even exist.. also the SLD URL is still set to http://PWDF3013:50000 and when im trying to update/save sth here, im getting error that the connection cannot be resolved.

Do you know how to chage that settings?

i think i cannot change much in Sneak Preview:

The SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (JDI/NWDI) in the Sneak Preview is set up

in a way that you can work with the preconfigured development configuration “TEST” with

NWDI and SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio on the same PC after you performed the postinstallation

of the DTR and CBS server.

Hello all,

In the Sneak Preview version (full edition) when I try to add some DCs to the TEST track nothing happens (basically the DCs aren't added...). I also can't create new tracks so I'm unable to use the DCs I need (CAF-GP, as example...)

Any help is welcome ! Thanks.
