In an attempt to provide a silent, unattended install method to our user base, I'm utilizing MSIEXEC to install the CrystalReports.msi installer (see attachment - cmd.window.text.png), but have encountering an error (see attachment - error.window.png) and cannot proceed with the installation. Please advise at to how to move past this issue and proceed with the install. Thank you.

First, I extract all the files from within [CRYSTALREPORTS06_0-20008684.EXE] and [CRXIR2_SP4_FULL_BLD_0-20008684.EXE] into a folder. Next, I attempt to execute a custom install with each of the [CRYSTALREPORTS.MSI] files, in order, using msiexec, but both fail at the same point during the install with the aforementioned error.

Hi

I don't think you can do this. I tried a long time ago - never got it to work

Unfortunately, this install method will not work for my environment. I can ONLY utilize a MSI file, not an EXE file. Thank you.

So, are yo installing an app that uses one of the CR XI R2 SDKs, or are you trying to install the CR XI R2 designer?

What version of Windows are you trying to install on?  Crystal XI R2 has been out of support for several years and may or may not install or work on newer versions of Windows.

Yes, unfortunately, we're still stuck in a pre-Win7 world over here. We're working to get out of that hole, but it's a long process with many Enterprise applications that are antiquated. The install is occurring on WinXPProSP3 machines. Thanx.
