Movement type 262 does not have field to enter amount

Hello MM experts,

I am doing 262 movement type (for taking stock back - against cost center). However, I am unable to enter the amount in 262 movement type. However, when I checked 561 movement type, price field is appearing in it.

Where i can activate price field for movement type 262. I checked TCode OMJJ. But I didn't got.

Please help

1. You are saying "for taking stock back - against cost center", so why don't you use movement type 202 ? 262 movement type is used for for "taking stock back - against Order".

2. This is not price field. This an external amount field, The goods movement will be valuated for this entered amount whatever you will enter quantity.

3. This field can be activated from field selection (t-code OMBW) for movement type 262 (or 202):

SAP suggest to post 262 Movement type with ref to 261.

Movement type 561 Only Used for initial material stock upload where quantity and its amount in local currency appeared as external field.

Movement type 261 used for goods issue against Order (Production Order, Maintenance Order, Internal Order etc) where price is determined from present moving average price automatically. You can reverse material document by 262 movement type.Its also pick present moving average price automatically from your material.

Try to understand the concept. 561 and 562 movement types are initial inventory upload. These are only one time use

Material pricing is determined based on moving average price.. I would recommend you better to reverse the material document 261 if goods issued to Order.. and movement type 202 if material issued to cost center..

System will not prompt the amount in any movement type other than 561 and 562.. I would recommend you not to play with material valuation..

amount in local currency is a system calculated field, based on the prices maintained in the P.O in standard SAP. if you need to put the field in migo, you may have to involve developers.

The functionality of 561 and 262 movement types are different.

561 Mov Type is used for Initial stock Upload.

262 Mov type is used for Reversal of 261 movement type.

Do you have any field in 261 movement type for price input?
