BOM creation and report generation of BOM structure in SAP MDG

Hi All,

We have got a new requirement from a Oil and Gas client. We need to create BOM in MDG for available spare parts under each equipment. To generate Purchase order they would need the list of spare parts with equipment details (Ultimately they need the BOM structure) it also should have the stock level advise. I am not able to find exact solution from the existing discussions. If somebody can explain the capablity and prcess it would be very much helpful.

There is a Solution Extension (SolEx) for MDG from Utopia which is available from SAP that addresses the solution your client is searching for.

It is the "Master Data Governance for EAM™"  Solution by Utopia

The Utopia MDG-EAM Solution also currently enables MDG for Equipment Master and Functional Location.

Utopia has plans to include additional EAM objects over the next year as well.

Dear Nithila,

Currently there is no standard funcationality available in MDG to create the BOM,you can create Custom data model for BOM creation.
