Hybris Marketing can creates a golden record in CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT and attaches to it a number of facets. The facets carry identifying information such as email and phone number. The CUAND_CE_IC_ROOT also carries email and phone number but is restricted to carrying a single instance of each.
When a new Interaction or Contact loads occurs the ROOT record may be updated with details from that record. Where can find the rules for how Marketing decides which of the source loads to treat as more authoritative? It seems it is not always the latest record that takes precedence.
If I wanted to modify these rules is there a guide as to how I might go about it?
Thanks
Cliff
We provide a customising where you could define the priority of the different Origins for the Interaction Contact to determine the golden record.
So in the Customising Define Origins of Contact Id (table CUANC_CE_ORIGIN, you can define different priorities for the Origin types). So the Id Origin with Priority 1 has a higher preference as compared to a Id Origin with Priority 2 in deterrmining the Golden record.
And if 2 Id Origins have the same priority, the record with the younger timestamp is given preference.

Thank you for that. I've now seen the table and it makes perfect sense.
Since then I did some experiments. If a new load is missing a field the old value will be retained in the golden record (ROOT). It is possible for this to create a bad result. If a new record has a house number but not a street the old street will be retained but the new house number will be used. In this situation it would have been better to retain the entire old address.
Thanks
