Content was Truncated - Data Manager.

Hello experts,

I having a problem with a Data Manager. I am doing retraction and sending to SAP ECC all year data (amount planned per account per cost center). If i send small data (50 records) it runs successfully, but when I run big amount of DATA i get the next log in DM:

I ran 2 tests and check the log in Transacction UJFS. For one of them I see next:

TEST 1. It looks like it ran Ok, nevertheless I in BPC that content was truncated.

TEST 2. It is the same error in BPC but it appears "ERROR found in system". According to a ABAPPER that is helping me debugging the BADI is telling me that the BADI enter again with no data that is the reason of the ERRORs but according the log all the information was retracted Correctly.

Any idea on this error?

Hi Sebastian,

In test 2 it did submit all the records, are there any missing records in your target system from test 2?

Is there a check inside your retraction BADI that warns you if there is no data? try remove that check.

You also need to find out why it loop through the retraction BADI, I think the first loop did submit all your data.

maybe also check your data package size setting.

Thank you for the post Andy,

In the first package I sent it was around 12,374 Records. In the package size setting shouldn't be a problem since I had 40,000 (I changed it to 500,000):

In fact with the value of 500,000 I still get the error that Content was truncated.

I check if all the records were sent from BPC to ECC using the totals:

1. I went to tcode RSA1, set the same selection as the DM and download the content to Excel and do the sum of all records for 1 month.

2. I went to TCOCE S_ALR_87013611 in ECC I select the same month but the amount is not the same.

I set that number because if I send all year the number of records is 168,000+.

ABAPPER is telling me that no errors are return from the std BAPIs in ECC. But I still get in ECC that the content was truncated.

I saw this other post were says that data is not missing, I do a report in BPC to check the info and it seems so far so good.

Content truncated is the standard feature of BPC.

if you have too many records then BPC won't display everything in the log. You need to goto UJFS to get the full log.
