Formatting Issues with Maintenance Work Order Short Text

Former Member

Hi

Has anyone had an issue with formatting ampersand sign in a Maintenance Work Order short text description? For example "GR&D" gets reformatted to "GR<(>&<)>D". NOTE: This happens only when users use the long text window (using word editor) in the Maintenance order header to update the short text description. The formatting does not change in the long text editor. Only the short text description is impacted assuming the "&" sign is in the first 40 characters of the text. See image below for illustration. Appreciate any input on this.

Regards,

Roli

Hi Roli,

This looks like a bug, check below note

Thank you Maria! In addition, users have also reported that long text some words repeat randomly - is there a SAP note for that as well? For example see image below. The expression "liquiver" in the short

text shows up as "liquiverquiver".in the long text. When printing out a Work Order the users then have to go the editor, delete it and then print out.

Hi Roli,

I dont think this could be a bug, this looks like copying the data into Long Text. You need to cross check the length of the description allowed here and length of the text.

It can also be the form issue, can you check with the abaper ?

Hello Roli,

For your 2nd issue, try what happens when you put a stop (.) after 'liquiver' in the short text.
