Hi Folks,
We have a situation where master data is not extracted by delta extractor as business does not update the relevant fields.
We do not want to disturb the schedule/design of delta process chains. How do we load this missing master data in BI as this activity has to be performed for multiple data sources and periodically? What would be the best way to handle this?

Hi Saurabh,
Before answering ,need your input on below Questions.
1.which data source you are using Generic/Standard ?
2. Your Data source is Delta enabled ?
3. If your data source Generic which Delta Method you are using , what is the field used for Delta and which safety interval used ?
4.If Data source is standard How delta is fetching ?
5. Changed on is available in your data selection of Info Package ?
Best regards,
Nageswara

Dear Saurabh,
Full load will work but if it takes too much time or too many records then try to use delta only, you can enhance the datasource to make it delta based on some other key like change date. Also if you dont want to enhance the datasource take selective full load daily, put the routine in infopackage on change date, daily selective full load will pick only the change date records.

Hi,
How many records do you have in your masterdata?
As the members above said, you should load it in FULL always since it will just overwrite if same record exists..
For your clients, you may also load delta during weekdays and full in weekend..However, I think masterdata will not impact much the running time of your process chain, except if it has so many records, so better do it in FULL always..

Loed

Hi,
use the repair full request with proper slections or with out slections.
master data always have overwrite option means it will overwrite existing recrods.
create the another info package -> go to schedular menu -> use the reair full reqeust -> selec the indicator.
if you use repair full request it won't disturb delta loads.
Thanks,
Phani.

Hi,
From source you can load missing record thru repair full request. need to use proper selections while loading thru repair full request.
if client accepts, then better perform full load (instead of delta)every time, as master data overwrite the existing data.
Thanks
