Hello Guys
I want to share a interview question with you.I have no clue for this question. The qustion was
"Suppose I have 50 pcs of material which has material type ROH and procurement type F(exterternal procurement). Now the customer wants after mrp run 15 pcs of these material generates planned order and rest of 35 pcs generates purchase requisition.Mrp run should be for whole plant in MD01/MDBT.No additional steps allowed. No enhancement also allowed. How to map this in SAP?"
I dont have any answer for this question. If anyone have the answer please share with me.
Regards
Debraj
Debraj,
I think interviewer was checking your confidence because if procurement type is F then system always creates purchase requisition only as per standard system design.
Now to meet his requirement one option could be maintain procurement type X so that system creates planned order for 50 PC requirement then you can convert 35 PC to Purchase requisition remaining 15 PC you can keep as it is as planned order.

Dear Kiran , DB49 & Vaibhav,
Thanks for your reply. What you have said i am fully agree with you.The same answer I was given to the interviewer. But he was not agree with me.He said procurement type would always remain "F".I told him in reply its not possible to map in SAP.
Dear Jatin
Quota arrangement is not applicable in this scenario.Quota arrangement is needed when we want to distribute our requirement between potential source of supply.

Hi Debraj,
Try Quota arrangment , MRP reads it to do the necessary splits. Not sure though , if it can split across procurment types.

Debraj,
"Suppose I have 50 pcs of material which has material type ROH and procurement type F (external procurement). Now the customer wants after mrp run 15 pcs of these material generates planned order and rest of 35 pcs generates purchase requisition...."
If you have 50 pc of a material, you will get neither. MRP only generates proposals when there is a shortage in the net requirements calculation.
The proper answer to to interviewer would be "the customer is an idiot if this is what he thinks he wants".
If a CUSTOMER asked me this, I would smile and tell him his requirement would unfortunately require enhancement. Customers who promptly pay their consulting invoices are permitted to be idiots.

DB49..
