Use of factory calendar in WVM1

Could you please explain use of factory calendar in vendor managed inventory WVM1 transaction screen.

Hi Sri,

The vendor's SAP system needs to calculate how long it will take to replenish the stock at the customer site. Part of this calculation is knowing the days that manufacturing will be running: they need to exclude days that the factory can't produce the needed materials. The factory calendar defines the days that manufacturing will be running.
