Multiple mitigation control assignments for 1 risk in ARM workflow

Dear All,

We have a requirement where in a risk contains more than 1 mitigation control .During ARM request as soon as we apply 1 mitigation control - risk gets mitigated and workflow moves ahead without allowing to apply another mitigation control of the same risk.

Is there any workaround wherein we can apply multiple mitigation controls in ARM request itself

Thanks and Best Regards,

Srihari.K

    Hi Srihari,

When I need to apply more than 1 mitigating control to an SOD within a request, I do this within the window for assigning MCs to SODs. You need to insert a new row manually, copy and past the User ID detail and SOD risk detail, rule detail etc. into the new line item, and then choose the other control(s). Each control to risk mapping is its own line item in the Mitigation window. So, you can apply many controls to a risk, but it is manually time consuming (if there are many risks that need to be mitigated).

The problem, however, is that the future ARA reports will only show the first MC assigned to the SOD. In order to view a complete report of User-Risk-MC assignments, you need to download through SE38 using program "GRAC_DOWNLOAD_MIT_ASSIGNMENTS". You can also create a spreadsheet that includes all MCs for all SODs for all Users, and then upload it using "GRAC_UPLOAD_MIT_ASSIGNMENTS".

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Sri,

to make things clear, i think you are talking about assignment of Mitigation control to user ids.

Mit. control assignment workflow: do you have multiple mitigation controls defined for the same risk. could you verify the same, by opening Setup->Mitigation Controls. if you are finding multiple mit. controls, could you provide the screenshot of list of Mit. controls, that you get by clicking the button Mitigate Risk , in ARM request

also, check and let us know, if you have Org. level activated

    Regards
