Hi Experts,

I'm stuck with an issue which can be resolved by extracting the data from Cube to Planning Area. But I need to extract the data that belongs to a particular request id and I should not disturb the remaining request ids in Cube. Kindly suggest me as soon as possible.

Thanks in Advance.

Best Regards,

Riyaz

Hi Riaya,

A couple of thoughts/ideas on how you might accomplish this:

idea 1) analyze the data within the request that you want to load, is there anything unique that would allow you to create a selection criteria that would uniquely isolate this data set in absence of using request id?  example: does the dataset have a unique time characteristic like month, week, or day?  If so use that selection criteria to load to the PA.

idea 2)  if there's nothing unique about the data in your request that would allow you to create a selection that grabs it, you'll need to create a new cub.  You may need some BI help with this depending on your skill set.  But the basic idea is to create a new cube using the existing cube that has your data in it as a template.  Create a transformation between the two cubes using direct mapping between the characteristics and key figures.  Create a DTP/infopackage that uses request id as one of the selection criteria.  Extract and load the data from your original cube into the new cube using request id as the selection criteria.  Now you've got a source cube to use in /SAPAPO/TSCUBE that only has the data you want in it, and you can load to the PA without issue.

That's what I would do at least... best of luck and let us know how it turns out.

Best

Hi Riyaz,

To extract data in planning area go to TSCUBE, select the cube as source and planning area as target. Then enter the date from when you want to load the data and map your key figures.

Thanks.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your reply. I can't proceed with your suggestion as loading from Cube to Planning Area without restricting Request Id will result in the added quantities in Planning Area. With Request id restriction, I can upload only one set of data to a particular CVC. But without Req Id, I would be updating the data of all active request ids in the cube, So data belongs to all the request ids will be added to make the wrong quantity.
