Connect to Hadoop (HDP 2.3)

Hi,

I am trying to connect Lumira (1.27) to Hortonworks 2.3 Platform

Everything goes fine until I select the file I want to use (I can see the different folders and files on my Hadoop server).

When I select it, this error appear: 'Acquisition failed: Please select a directory that contains a list of files.' ... no matter if I select a file or a folder, the error is always de same.

Any suggestions will be welcomed!!

Thanks

Hi David,

a couple more pointers:

  • files must all have the same structure within the directory you are pointing to. Have you checked if all yours files were of the same format?
  • can you access the file through Hive?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi,

- in the folder there is only one file

- and, yes the file is accesible from Hive

Thanks to both (Harjeet and Paul)

Hi Varun,

using "SQL on Hadoop" connections Works ... I already knew that, but using "connect to Hadoop" the problems persists

Thanks anyway, I will keep investigating

Hi David,

I had a similar issue and it worked after connecting to Hadoop using the SQL on Hadoop option,

Try both the drivers,

The port usually for Apache Hadoop is 10000 and for Cloudera is 21050. Please check your host and user ID as well.

Thank you,

Varun Anand
