All,
What is the difference between Deleting a Row and Closing a Row - I have done multiple searches online and I can't find a clear definition of the difference.
We are relative newbies (just over a year) and this is the first time this question has been asked.
I appreciate any help in this.
Thank you in advance.
Keith
If u have already convert the SO to delivery, and cancel the delivery to reopen the SO lines, you will NOT be able to delete the line any more.
That's the difference.
Basically closing a row and deleting a row has very similar result in terms of system, which is removing the demand from system.
PO shares the same concept.

Thank you both for the answers. This is why I love these forums - I can ask a question and get great answers and help from people who have been using the system for much longer than we have.
Thank you again,
Keith

Hi Keith,
Delete Row
While adding/Updating a SO/PO, if you mistakenly selected an item and you need to delete that row , then you can delete that row.
It means you are deleting a particular row from the document, which will not visible in that document.
Deleting a row is only possible when there is no further action taken for that particular line. For Eg: NO partial / full GRPO / Sales delivery made against that row.
Close a row in SO/PO
After adding a particular document, you are updating the status of particular row from "Open" to "Close".
If Line status is open only, you can make a delivery.
If you manually close the row also, it will visible in SO/PO screen.
Thanks
