ITS: Windows dimension conflict

Hi experts,

some of our users get the error: "Invalid GUI input data: display - window dimension conflict" when calling an ITS webgui in our system.

After searching the net I found note 2016640.

Unfortunately that changed nothing, same error appears.I didn't specify the parameters (e.g. ~webguiUserAreaWidth ) described in the note, because the screen sizes of the users are different. The note says that the values are set to standard if nothing was entered.

Can anyone help how to get rid of this error?

Hi Tobias,

This issue should be resolved by the kernel patch from SAP note 2183525.

The note is (automatically) updated with the kernel patch, as soon as it is available in SAP Service Marketplace (e.g. for kernel 7.42 the information is not yet available).

thanks a lot for you answer.

Our kernel is not listed (yet) in the note, so there is no other (faster) way to solve this problem? Implementing the kernel patch (when it's available) takes several weeks....What about the note 2016640?

It describes the same problem, but doesn't change anything...

Any further ideas?

Hi Tobias,

Could you please clarify about the kernel version you use?

For 7.42 kernel, patch level 210 was released today and it contains the correction from note 2183525.

we use Release 741 Patch Level 201, which is not in the note

Hi Tobias,

Please upgrade to kernel 7.42. As long as your SAP_BASIS is, at minimum, SP2, then it is ok. Please read SAP note 2128122 for details.

you could check following SAP note :-

1917981 - SAP GUI for HTML: Conflict between window and display size

Even this note talks about applying Basis Patch.(Please check your Basis support pack level)

Please check if this is feasible.
