Storage Location as Mandatory field for Material Component

Hi All,

While adding material component through CJ20N, I want to make Storage location field as a mandatory field. As of now, it is an optional entry. How could I make this field as a mandatory field.

Hi,

Are you generating PR or any Reservation through CJ20N?.

Well, It depends on the configuration of document type. If you have a separate document type for this process then there must be a field selection group for this document type. Check in SPRO->Materials Management->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Define Document Type.

Then go to Define Screen Layout at document level. Then double click on field selection as per the document type. After that double click on Basic data, item. You would find the storage location over there. Just make that field as mandatory field over there.

Try this and let me know the results. Please find attached screen shots too.

Can you please check below config in MM

SPRO>Material Management>Purchasing>Purchase Requisition>Define Screen Layout at Document level>CJ20N (you can also create, if it is not available)

Also check

PS-> Material -> Procurement -> field selection for components

Third option is validation.

I could not find PS-> Material -> Procurement -> field selection for components as suggested by you. But option 1 as suggested by you and amit worked for me.
